My criminal mind just thought: Buy the car, take the tag to the fakers and have a ton of options banged into it.... I wonder if a stunt like that would pass muster with the tag detectives? Confused
I wonder if thats not a small part of the hobby along with completely fake tags? confused

I don't think there would be a way anyone could tell the difference if done well.

Scary stuff!! Eeker

Check out this trim tag. Have we seen this one before? It's on eBay right now. It has the "O" code and a fleet code number after the group 5.
Cool! Cool

This looks like it was really a nice car, and the buyer said it was after the auction. Wonder why so many really great cars end up being in Washington state? Any ideas, the percentage seems to be out of whack with the population of the state.

Here is another intersting cowl tag. It doesn't have a loaded list of optoins, but look at the Paint code and top. It is a Sierra Fawn with biege vinyl top and Gold interior.

I would have loved to seen this Camaro in it's restored colors. I have never seen one like that before, EVER! I bet it was a real looker. This is a Camaro on eBay right now but it is painted Black and needs restoration badly.

I bet the painters that week were seeing white spots, sort of like after flash on a camera, when they went home. Big Grin

It looks like they totally missed the "O" in "LOS" on this Camaro trim tag.
Mistakes do happen.

Is this car for REAL?
It is on eBay right now. Auction number 170349671932. This is the first trim tag I have seen with an air conditioned big block. It is also a convertible with a Blue Topper. Very interesting.

The other thing I noticed on this Camaro was that the door jambs had a later style indentation (broken phone shape) when it is an early Camaro (11E). Probably new quarters with the wrong door jamb indentations.
Tail panel should be black too.

Yes definitely a fake tag.

As far as tags go, I don't care what anyone says, still my favorite TT of all time.
