Painted blue isn't the biggest problem.. the big problem is that this useless reproduction has been around for a decade..look how big the area is thats supposed to hold the sun visor securely.. give me a break.

This gray original cleans up well with some Westleys Bleche-wite

These decals are pretty cool. but if you don't prep and etch the surface of the dash bezel they are never going to stay adhered. I scrape the surface down through to the black plastic with a new razor on its edge then wipe the area with Brakekleen.. let dry and the applique sticks like iron

The gas cap sat crooked and I couldn't figure out why.. then I relaized the bolt to hold the cable needs to be in the lower left screw hole or it binds up once turned completely on.. Man what a riddle when someone doesn't install something correctly Roll Eyes

Ok: Things are going swimmingly and I'll update later but first I have questions regarding RS headlamps... man its so obvious why these were one year only.... SUX Mad

I found the car had no diode at all. I checked the ignition switch, replaced the headlamp switch and installed the diode correctly.. alls good at the dash

Now I have power coming into and out of the circuit breaker on the RS relay panel under the left front fender.. ok: good

Issue.. when I turn on the headlamps the left side headlamp door activates and moves for just a split second and the right side does not.. in that same split second the circuit breaker trips.. in a few moments the circuit breaker resets and immediately re-trips and the left side door moves a bit.. the right does not..

I checked that all the wiring at the relay board was plugged in correctly off of a picture I have of a correct and functioning set up.. all the switches are wired and in place and the grounds look to be great.. but we know its not a ground problem because its tripping the circuit breaker...

My guess before I start taking all the stuff apart... right side headlamp motor is grounded out and failed?

Whos got a better guess

You probably already tried this. Unplug the right motor and see if the left cycles with no breaker trip? The two motor circuits are in parallel, so if you have one side working you're most of the way there. Then you know the problem lies in then parallel leg of the faulty side.
