Position the new clip over the original hole and install this punch: Craftsman 9-42861 WF 3/8" punch.... don't get nervouse that the clip won't sit flush because the round ends double back around and hold it off the surface by a few 16ths or so... just whack it in with a hammer.. no screwing around.. pound it in

Last one for the nite: wiper arms.. If your arms are fine then polish them up.. Take a trip to NAPA and order these... they are near EXACT except they do not have the part # stamped in them.. Unless your going to get judged .. this is the hot trick

The wheels suffered from poor paint adhesion. I brought them to the body shop.. scrubbed them clean, sanded the bad paint and refinished the centers in the correct hue

Speaking of adhesion.. the person that dyed the plastic wasn't able to do it properly at all.. The piece I took off had the paint is falling off in the wind.. My version I am shown bending it to death and the paint really is dye and stuck like glue.. This piece is a new reproduction.. There are plastic mold release agents on these types of new pieces.. what you have to do is scrub them to death with warm water and SEM Soap in the kitchen sink with a fingernail brush... let dry and spray liberally with plastic/leather prep...once dry you need to paint lightly with Clear Adhesion Promoter ( glue etch)... then the actual color.. yes! that many steps in the process

To end the evening: nice to have an original 67 convertible trunk mat as a template.. They do not offer the correct die cut so you have to make a template and do the best you can with the razor blade.. stay tuned on that one.. Good thing the Mom-In-Law isn't in town.. her room looks like a restoration shop

Suggestion on the radius cuts for the trunk mat, use a compression fitting of the correct diameter as a die to cut the radius by putting a 2x4 under the mat, put the compression fitting where you want the cut, and hit it firmly with a hammer. Cuts very nice!
