Good news-Bad news.. These are the Right Stuff calipers that are super cool in my eyes.. BUT.. I tried NAPA then D&R Classic for brake pads.. BOTH came back as this garbage with incorrect cut metal backs that don't fit into the calipers... Seriously.. am I the only guy restoring a Camaro in America? confused Mad How does this bull happen? Anyone know for sure where I can get a set like original?

20 dollar +- lower pulley in pic Cool

Thank you Phil...I hope some guys can appreciate this effort

When these first came out as repros last year I was bummed that they had AR erroneously stamped into them.. But as luck would have it.. this is the side that shows when installed.. as you can see.. another sweet repro.. one is an original I have for comparo

Things are getting better out there guys racer

Think Larry is correct the ballcrank on the carb is for powerglide kickdown. I've got a set of GM calipers 4 piston. They should be SS sleeved first. PM me if interested, I'll take some pictures or we can chat over the phone. I'll dig them up.
Or check with right stuff see what they recommend for pads.

Thanks! I think those pads are too good to use! I bought a set that has the right backing plate closer and with a buy it now so I can keep rolling..

Yes.. same oil cap but this one fit sweet.. real tight but pushes on by hand

Thanks David.. but the boys can keep the originals boxed up for posterity and cruise with these babies shining Big Grin

Thanks guys..please throw in your 2 cents when you think of a better way or a better piece.. I'm hoping guys can share, learn and teach with threads like this.. We aren't going to Pebble Beach here but if its worth doing then its worth doing right I suppose.. haha

I burned the midnite oil yesterday thats for sure and my ass was dragging this morning.. Hey 46 and can still hoist M20's off my belly all alone.. I'm cool with that roll Roll Eyes

I got pretty delusional by the end so I double checked every nut and bolt this morning.. looks good under there..
