I know this subject has been beat to death, but unfortunately I cant seem to locate the thread discussing the correct or closest to correct vendor for the right color 67 Blue carpet for the Pace cars. My memory recalls that the dark blue 69 Camaro carpet sold by hearttbeatcity is the one a guy wants??? http://www.heartbeatcitycamaro...lded-dark-blue-1969/ I remember two different vendors being discussed and that ACC is not correct with it's loop pattern.

Thank you for bringing back up to speed on the carpet issues. I do remember reading the post. I’m guessing to date the general consensus is to purchase Trim Parts Sky Blue 512 carpet and matching door panel carpet. Has any advancements been made with Al Knoch on finally getting it right? What color of blue die and brand are you guys using on the kick panels?

No. The knock thing has fallen face first again. And let me tell you its not from a lack of trying. Mike Rossi has gotta have 50 hours into this the last ten years. My guess is that they are ambivalent about doing such anal work because lets face it.. Theres no market for it Frowner

My friend Chris did in fact send his blue dash board to them and it came out super amazing. I had one done as well.. As far as I'm concerned dash board wise that's the only way to go using them and your original substrate.

Kick Panel wise I used bark blue interior dye for a 69 Camaro.. Its NOT right but its way closer than anything else.. For my O-1 car I will endeavor to do even better but have not tackled that as of yet

Hello. I have had some recent conversations and new info. about interior soft parts which at this point leave me cautiously optimistic. If details come together as I am hoping for, I am anxious to move forward quickly for my own reasons.

At one point some folks had expressed interest in a group order. Not sure if there was ever a headcount established? If anyone interested in more details please PM me with contact info. Please be patient for reply as I have not been keeping current on Email lately.

(Disclaimer: This is not a commitment of action or a promise of specific outcomes-- simply an attempt to gauge the level of interest.)

Man, that carpet really changes color over the years. I think that the middle sample will look good with new carpet. You won't be able to tell the difference.

Hello again from 'whatever happened to...?' land.

Never received any replies-- not one -- to my note above. I am working on a custom door panel order I am hoping to see happen in the VERY near future. Making one last call to see if any interest-- Right now it's just me and my restoration guy.

Regards all...

Unfortunately the site is much slower nowadays... Maybe cause there are not that many cars being restored or who knows? I would be interested to know more about what you are lining up etc.

Geoff; a fair enough question... i have had several conversations with a highly-regarded supplier, who seems willing to entertain the notion of a custom door panel order (using my carpet). But I don't want to screw this up by blathering TMI on the Internet before it's appropriate.

A suggestion I had read on this site somewhere/sometime; was to find out how many people might be interested in a special order (Which a manufacturer's enquiring mind might want to know). I recall somebody started on this once, but I didn't recall ever seeing any conclusions. So I put out my own feeler (now almost a year ago). At this point I can't wait any longer. So due to the underwhelming response I am moving forward ASAP on my own.

The intent was to give back to the hobby in this small way-- not personal gain. I hope this answers any questions in the meantime until I can get a comfort level posting more details. Thanks-Charley
