Looking ahead I spend some time comparing 5 different silvers for the rims and 3 different blacks for the convertible top frame...
A gigantic waste of my time and money!!! Frowner

I'll be painting the rims with Centari enamel and then going over them with the 6 dollar spary bomb of "Details" spray paint that is easily the winner in the match catagory Roll Eyes

Nason Chassis Black, Imron Satin gloss and GM Reconditioning Paint are all either weak paints or the wrong color.... Looks like another spray bomb session for the top frame as well!!!!!!! Just need to buy some black canned varieties and figure it out Confused

Give me a break....My fault for trying so hard hammer

Spent ALL of Saturday getting my doors and lid back on the car. Sanding and prepping the hinge jambs took the majority of the day..UGH> Managed to snap this pic that illistrates how much they blasted the blue everywhere when doing the dash ( dash was painted before white ) The yellow lines show where I sanded through to blue

Bobs a real thorough guy. He offered to air brush all the holes in the decklid with base white for a much more complete coverage in the finished product. I held his beer, my beer and snapped this photo.. see: everyone has some type of talent hammer

Also been finger sanding the convertible top frame and trying to find the best black that sticks to metal with no primer so when the top gets nicked it won't show primer.. kinda tough..
