Hi Tom,
Your Pacer looks really great. Nice detail. How did you finish the sway bar and front coil springs? Did you paint them?

Now thats more like it, concerning the pictures. ( as mentioned in the PM I sent youSmiler) If this car is a driver, I would hate to even breath on #78. The C1 is stunning!!! Great work brother!!!

Guys,

It sure looks like this man is raising the bar for driver quality cars, doesn't it? Good going, Tom! Cheers More work for the rest of us, but then again, all these cars really deserve to be done a little better than the norm, wouldn't you agree? yea

Keep it up!!! Andy

The springs and sway bar are just bead blasted and covered in cosmoline... they should rust up in time.. I think sway bars were black though.. I've been trying a lot of little experiments with this rig.. not all of them correct but suffice to say I have been resolving a million questions in my mind by trying things.. a lot have been disappointing and or more trouble then they were worth but the knowledge I'm getting for when I do my O-1 car is priceless.

Its also relieving to not have to be the guy that " talks " about what works but actually be the guy that " knows " what works... and what won't. I feel more confident in my opinion that way

I also have a good grasp now on whats good for repro, whats tolerable and what blows Wink

For the sake or argument... someone refresh my memory about this car. If mine did in fact have front guards ( I have a letter off to the long term family that owned it) and was in Wisconsin in 1970.. what but the mag style caps prevents me from considering this car as mine? Was this race in Wisonsin or Illinois?

We're all aware at this point of how to do body work so really this is just an update picture of whats doing....the cars at the conv top guy right now and these 4 pieces are all that remain before I paint the nose white... maybe in 2 weeks... after that its finish the pieces of the interior that are out for the top install, final adjust any glass issues, put the nose on and fix some leaks........detail the hell out of the car and perfrom some shake down runs.. I'll be out of time by then so off she goes to Carlisle and I'll finish the rest over the summer at a hobbiests pace, not a maniacs pace Big Grin
