Looking at the blueprint posted elsewhere on this site ( https://camaropacecars.com/eve/...261078806#8261078806 )-- the dimensions it calls for are .06" top stripe, .12" gap, and .10" bottom stripe. Converting decimal to fractions gives 1/16" top; 1/8" gap, and 3/32" bottom; +/- 0.01".
Stencils & Stripes #F-6 Tape Stripe Stencil kit matches these dimensions. I ordered one of these just to check it out... attached pictures show the comparison to stripes off my car. I'm thinking the stencil kit looks dead-on... application with real paint will really be the litmus test. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Charley Maule,

That's correct. The factory stripes were applied quickly with a body fixture up against the car with a bugler roller pen. The stripe width is dead on. Nice work!
Charley! Excellent find. I never ever thought to look for a premeasured striping kit for paint.. I would have never thought something like that was being produced still or ever..
I am getting this and calling my pinstriper to be sure he has no problem doing the brush work! WOW really a leap forward there if it works out
Thank You

Thanks Tom. I came across this pretty much by accident. I was on the Stencils & Stripes website ordering the nose stripe stencil, and while curiousity-browsing some of their other products, the link for "Pinstripes" caught my attention near the bottom of the page.
I've posted the above pictures & information to the "Pin Stripe ?'s" thread in case someone is browsing there for ideas (as was I).
We're not ready to shoot the stripes yet (car is still in primer), but I'm thinking I may ask the painters to shoot a small sample that I'll take back & compare to the car-- will update accordingly.

Just got back from the paint shop today. They sprayed up a sample with the pinstriping stencil on a piece of scrap metal so we could see what the finished product looks like. Much to my surprise they even did the sample in ermine white with blue stripes...
Measurements are dead bang spot on. It still remains to be seen how we can duplicate the endpoint detail, and follow the fender curves with the tape... but I think we're going to give this a try!!

Question on the paint colors. Meeting with the painters, I explained there were 3 different colors used for the Marina Blue nose stripe, Dark Bright Blue suede dash top, Medium Bright Blue for the door tops etc. Painter believes all 3 colors are variants of Marina Blue base with different pigments & flatteners, etc. added to replicate the 2 Bright Blue variations. Any of you guys who know paint mixing want to share an opinion on this??
I told painter I would post this question to the Pace Car group seeking feedback...

In doing some research for my car I stumbled over the paint numbers along with the chips for the interior color and the pin stripe but they are currently in ACME which is out of business.
Now I just need to cross them to PPG. I will take a trip in the AM and see what we come up with..as soon as I know something I will post it up here.
PROGRESS UPDATE!!! My car is White again!! ...even if it's in a million pieces all over the place.
Also got some samples of the different blue paint colors. I posted some updates on the Pinstripe colors to that separate discussion thread. Basically I found that the Marina Blue (Ditzler #13364) and Med. Bright Blue (Ditzler #13402) look virtually identical to the eye and both are metallic colors. The two formulae are different, but they use the same pigments, though in slightly different proportions. More details at: https://camaropacecars.com/eve/...481005346#3481005346
Things are moving along pretty quickly in the paint shop now. Expecting they will start shooting blue door tops, etc. & interior & engine compartment blacks sometime next week. Also we're going to do something about that green primer... soon after that will follow the blue stripes.
White body...
