The blue (PPG #13379 Bright Blue Poly) looked kind of funky under florescent lighting; so we checked it against the paint sample that was previously validated against an original car... looks right on despite the lighting...

Charley// can I see a picture of this paint can? I'm saving all your pictures of paint cans for when its my time! Cheers

2 for 1 special: #13379 & #13217...

TOM-- Note on my car they are using the modern enamels on the exterior (Dupont Chromabase), but the interior is being done with PPG lacquers. 2 different suppliers...

Placeholder for the white when I get the details... not for sure yet; but I'm betting it is Chromabase #4024K
===========
Here it is... #4024K just like I thought.

The paint chart calls for #4024-L and #4850-L. Painter told me the L code is for the original lacquer Dupont no longer offers. The #4024 and #4850 are color codes-- the K is the code for modern enamel, same color. (At least that's what he told me... sounds logical enough)

TOM-- Note on my car they are using the modern enamels on the exterior (Dupont Chromabase), but the interior is being done with PPG lacquers. 2 different suppliers...

When you finalize all this paint I am taking the liberty of calling your supplier and buying directly from him! Cool checkered flag

Here's one more though I don't know if you will be interested in this one. For the rockers & rear tail panel they used something called "Hot Rod Black", though as you probably know the chart calls for #88 Tuxedo Black exterior appls.

Nevertheless; I'm very happy with the way it came out. LOTS More pictures to follow...

PAINT SHOP VISIT 3/15/2013:
===========================
Paint shop is ...almost... done. Visited yesterday with the expectation of signing off on completed work, but found there were a few touch-ups still needed. So it looks like we will be picking up the car sometime early next week...

LOTS of pictures to follow... maybe overkill, but what the heck...
