I just bought a used 1108338 date coded starter to rebuild for my 350-4spd car and the snout doesn't look right. It came off a vette and has two bolt locations, 1 long and 1 short. From the pics I see of yours, yours has 3. My block has 3 mounting holes, but I don't see how the third would come into play if I need shims as the shims are for 2 bolt locations.

Do you have a good picture you could post of yours showing the bolt configuration ? thanks Chris
