Yes Lee, myself and family, Jim Hairston, Andy Wolf and a few others were there for it. Pretty cool, everyone got the VIP treatment. Had a big spread of food for everyone. Was going to posts some pitures but looks like it's been covered with the link above. You know Lee took plenty! Wink Big Grin

Can you imagine that I had to keep this under my hat for the last two weeks
I think it's quite striking! It should really pop in the bright sun on race day.

I should add that they initially only planned to have a '69 pace car on display as well (Andy W's). At the last minute they pulled the '82 and '93 from the basement. I told the GM PR guy (not Mike) that this had us fooled as we all thought the '10 PC would be white with orange stripes. His comment to that was "Stay tuned."
He also wouldn't confirm or deny replicas, but the rumour is there will be 25 Festival cars like this year. My bet is they will be the same stock Inferno Orange Metallic with the IO interior and the stock white factory vinyl stripes and vinyl graphics on the doors. Of course I thought the car today would be white! Wink
EVERYTHING on the car unveiled today is painted on and cleared over.
P.S. also the strobes are on inside at the top of the rear window so they don't mess up the looks with a light bar.

Just getting home from a long day! Spin Bill did you enjoy that live feed from the Museum? Cheers
Thanks to every one who put this together! checkered flag I only got about 45 photos, but those IMS photos on the track look the best! Mike has a good point, this car will be hot in the sun on Race Day. Cool I hope the Festival cars have the same seats! first It seems the car has gone over well online! No plans for a V6 but that's ok. What will the Corvette convertiables look like? confused Let the Camaro festivities begin! 2009 IPC

Yeah I heard people saying the car was red. In dim lighting the IOM does look to be a tomato red sort of color, but in the sunlight, Oh baby it really comes to life!!!! You can tell by those track photos in the sunlight as opposed to the one below.
