Don't know where to begin but as I worked the race for Chevy this last weekend we got some great photos of the Pace car and several festival cars. I'll post them on my site in a few days.
I have one set aside for myself and hope to pick it up after I get back from Canada 6-7.
I hope we can ad the 2010 Pace car and festival cars to this site. It will be an elite group as only 25 were decaled and only about half are scheduled to be sold. The others will do double duty as BY 400 cars.

I'm interested in the possibility of picking one of these up.. If its a cash fest then no but if they are even within the realm of reasonability I would like a shot Wink

I think its a pity they would decal them up and then strip them down for different decals when all the while people are waiting in the wings to purchase them? I have to say it makes little sense to me?

Unless I'm way off and these cars are not going to sell well and-or over sticker? what are your thoughts there? confused

I'm guess that these 'festival' Camaros are justed decaled with the red, whatever you call that, plus the Chevrolet on the door and windshield. Interior untouched and no badges. Right?
'Z7D 6 speed' Are you going to attend the Ontario Camaro Nationals, June 12-14/09 ?
Anyone else going? I'll be there and would like to say hello to anyone in attendance from this site.

I would agree. It is important to note that the festival cars are technically not even pace car replica's or even look a likes for that matter.Roll Eyes

IMO....GM left a bunch of cash on the table.

What they could have done? Try a yellow car with the long black concept stripes. Make that the pace car and the theme carries over to the "Bumble Bee" -transformers promotion. Just in time for the release of the movie.

They would have sold a ton of them. confused

In reading Phils comment above I wonder: Can we get the name of the company that manufactured these decals? Would they sell more sets to the public? Thats a back door way of looking cool.

Mike, I did not know you came in town for the race. I would have stopped over and said hello. What is the address of your site? I would love to see the photos you and Jim have. Did you drive this low Vin # V6 to the race? Here it is in the flag lot.

Would be easy to return one to Indy. Like years past the event was the last decal to go on the car.

Lee, do I understand that Mr. Richard Hendrich's car would be #9000001 (vs #9000069)and we go from there. A guy on another Camaro site wanted to know what no. his 2SS was.

I'll but in. Rick Hendrick has #9100001 and #9100002. Early production CTF (captured test fleet) cars and test run cars had 9000XXX VINs. When actual production began they started with the 91XXXXX.
I should note than SOME of the CTF cars will be returned to the factory, refurbished with any new/improved componets, and sold to dealers to sell as used cars.

Tom, I would be willing to bet that the graphics manufacturer was the same as used in previous years. If they handle a request to purchase a set of graphics as they have in the past, you'll need a VIN number to buy the decals.

Oh.. well thats not bad.. AND if I score a car I can get a set to shelve for the future Wink

All these cars were automatics right? What was the final options list on these badboys?

I wonder how many sets were produced. Looking at the pictures Lee has posted, the stripes used on the Camaros doesn't appear to have been used other track vehicles. With only the small number of Camaros used, you have to question how many set were made beyond what they intended to use.

Once what is left over is gone, you'll be in the same situation I'm in with my 98. They can be made, but the cost will most likely be beyond what one individual could justify for a spare set.
