No, I am located on the East Coast. The car will remain in the Indianapolis area.
Yes, this car has alot of rich history to it and has been the most photographed Brickyard car that I have seen. As well, I believe it is the lowest mileage car with under 800 miles on it.
Don't get your hopes up for any offers over $50,000 from the members of this site. With two of the other Brickyard/Indy cars currently for sale at Andy Mohr Chevrolet in Indy for $37,995 I don't think you will find any takers at this time, but you just never know. Good luck!
Andy Mohr Chevrolet in Indy still has two of these Brickyard/Indy Camaros. They are both priced at $37,995. One had some lower driver door damage and just got out of the body shop (Car 21). I have talked to them about both of them and they seem to be willing to negotiate on the price. One of them is car 21 and the other car 22. Neither one has door event decals or event plates with them at this point. Their window stickers are $35,865 so they are priced a couple thousand over MSRP at this point. Both have about 3,000 miles on them. This is the best price I have seen on any of these cars since May!
Supply is growing steadily of NEW Camaros on dealers lots, and prices are falling! Our local dealer now has 3 new cars all asking MSRP and they have been on his lot for several weeks now! I had lunch with one of the salesmen today and asked him how business was and he said TERRIBLE, and they wonder why! Chevrolet has one hot product at the moment and seem to be to arrogant to sell them. Just wait and see there will be 0% financing and rebates before you know it!
One of the main reasons I felt the old (4th Gen) Camaro and Firebird failed was that they got to high in price to where their primary market...young to early middle age buyers could not justify the price anymore. Now comes along the new Camaro and a reasonably equipped SS is in the mid to upper $30,000 range with a well equipped one nearing $40,000. Convertibles will be higher than that and they think they can sell a bunch of them? I don't think so. Don't get me wrong, I love these cars and may buy one at some point, but I have a feeling that like so many of GM's projects of late....this one to is destined to fail unless they hold the prices down and not gouge the buying public as they continue to try to do.
How many of you guys on here have excellent condition low mileage 4th generation cars you would love to trade in on a new 5th generation car? When you bought those 4th gen cars and paid over $30,000 for them I am sure you thought you would be able to get more than $12,500 to $15,000 for them when you went to trade them in, but that is about all you will see offered to you to tade up to a new 2010 car right now. Wow, trade a beautiful 2002 35th Anniversary car in and pay $20,000 to boot for a new one....not too many will! But hey why not, after all the new ones are RARE and will "hold their value" especially the pace/parade cars, right we have all heard that one before!

$12,500 - $15,000? I think you are way off on that number. You will not find that price to even sell the car retail. Dealership will pay $5-$7k for low mileage good condition 4th gen cars. Obviously this is a terrible trade in value compared to the cost of the new camaro and what you paid for the 4th gen but there is very interest in those cars now - especially for a dealer to take on trade in.
Part of the reason a 4th gen dropped in value so much besides the fact that the new Camaro is out is that they are now to old for the average guy or gal to get a good loan. Banks only like to loan on late models and most of them are only going back to 2004. Hard to find someone with cash that wants to buy a car that will take many more years to sky rocket in value and is getting to old to be a daily driver. Plus even if you did make it a driver they suck in the snow!

When I was saying you might get $12,000 to $15,000 trade in I was talking about nice low mile Pace/Parade cars, not normal run of the mill nice 4th gens. You are right those are only like $5,000 to $7,000 trade in in most cases.
My local dealer did offer me $15,000 for my 2002 35th Anniversary convertible 6 speed to trade it in on a new 2010 2SS Camaro that had a window sticker of $38,500+. My car only has about 6,000 miles on it and is in mint condition. Of course at the time he was asking $4,000 over the window sticker for the car so I never really felt like he was even offering me $15,000. He could of offered me $20,000 and me pay $4,000 over sticker and I would not have done it. Give me $20,000 and me pay sticker....we would be getting closer!
