I could only get one of the festival / track numbers with the zoom. It was a different numbering system then at the 500. Looked like the Corvettes now started at #1.

Any one here like Impala SS? You can also see a nice local Camaro SS in the background. I am standing next to my bosses Escalde. I need to find out how he scored such an good parking space!

We were in turn one. After the parade laps they parked the 4 Festival Camaros inside of turn 1 right beside the Yellow Shirt Security office just in behind the start of the Terrace Grandstand. I sent my son over to take photos of all 4 of them, but by the time he got there they had already taken three of them back to the garage that is across 16th Street from the track. One was still there and he took a bunch of photos of it. I will post a few of them soon as he sends them to me from his computer. Not sure who drove these 4 cars on the parade laps. Was kind of cool to see them out in front of the field and the Official Pace Car Corvette!
There were five of the Festival Camaros there yesterday at the track that I saw. 4 were on the track at the start of the race and a 5th one was down in turn one by the security office. I assume it was a spare in case there was any problem with any of the other 4. Before the race started they took the 5th one back to the garage across 16th Street. So my guess is you will now see 5 more Festival Camaros find their way into the market soon.
Hi Guys.........just thought I would add my 2 cents regarding the Brickyard Camaros. Again this year my son Jeff and I were honored to work the pace car program at Indy. Interesting things I noted were that there were 5 Camaros used. Car numbers 21, 22, 23, 25 and 36. Four of these cars were left over from the 500 but only on retained the same number from the 500 to the 400. One Corvette number 17 was used for the victory lap after the race. We also used 43 pickups numbered 1-43 for drivers introductions. As a sidenote Jeff and I rode in truck #4 which carried Dale Earnhardt Jr. around the track. Attached are some photos, enjoy, Jim Hairston
