That looks sharp! Monday on the GM web site, white was yet to be listed as an option and you couldn't get orange stripes on any color either.

Some commentary: On the 1969 RS Z-11 all the colors worked. The stripes were well integrated into the car's lines and the body color white was even extended down onto the RS headlight doors and the headlight surrounds. With the white endura bumper RPO - you had a designer's dream.

It is a designer's dream - and even today the 1969 Z-11 is at the top of any Camaro collector's list. Cheers

For the 2010 - a different opinion

On the front: My eyes are drawn directly to the non-functional "mail slot" fake hood scoop.

The colors present - White, Orange and the black accents all compete for your attention and unlike the '69 the stark contrasts and lack of color blending distract the eyes. For me it gets complicated to look at.

Fake hood scoop has got to go or the stripes need to be longer. White facia accents on the grille surrounds at the headlights also might help. An example of good design treatment is the red accents used on the grill surrounds on 2009 IPC. Now... that actually works and blends the red hood stripe into the silver (on the front end).

On the rear:

The stripes on the car that terminate on top of the spoiler are a total cosmetic disaster. They worked on the 1997 car due to the design of the 4th generation. The rear of the 2010 car as currently laid out has a generally unfinished look with RPO or LPO stripes.

Not my cup of tea. Big Grin

Can we have a pic of the whole car? That usless hood scoop is just dumb. IMHO.

It just so happens I have a few more photos! Big Grin I do not care what any one says, I love this Combo! first

Like it for what it is people. (I think the British are the Tea drinkers.) This is as American as it gets. Makes you want to go to the drive in and order some apple pie. It was not that long ago that we had nothing new to talk about. Remember how opinionated people were about the 93 when it was new. How about the 98 Pace car! All Kidding aside I can respect others opinions. Wink

The owner has a few more item on order like vintage style emblems. Waiting on the Pin stripper now...

That's a better view but the car is still haunted by the mail slot. It does not work, lowers the areodynamics and cannot be made to work.

It is what it is. Perhaps in 2011 we will get a real induction system that actually works and does not clutter up the cosmetics. The car's lines need to flow.

IMO...The fake scoop simply gets in the way when you stripe it with any of the other brighter colors. Any other stripe color besides RPO Cyber Grey or LPO Black gets busy for the eyes really fast when viewing the car head on. With the dark stripes the fake scoop tends to blend in. With other photo angles again it tends to blend in even with the brighter colors, but there is no getting away from the homely head on short striped look.

Do not like it. Know lots of guys sitting on their hands with money in the bank waiting for a better looking factory product.

We will see. Big Grin

Thanks for posting Lee. Great to see white finally in production and on the streets. Funny, I think a lot of people must like them judging from the sales numbers they're generating and the fact that dealers, especially MSRP selling dealers, sell them within hours of them arriving on the lot.
