Robert,
I think that anyone of us who own a 67 Camaro that still has it's original drive train should consider ourselves lucky. Of course, the more rarer the engine or lower production models should make any lucky owner proud to own one. Even an original 6 cylinder in my opinion. Just think of all the stuff these cars have had to endure over the years and still be intact. It's enough to boggle the mind. These beautiful cars are coming up on their 50 year anniversary. It's something to look forward to! Cheers yea

Thanks Robert and Tom, Your thoughts hit the mark, while my quest for the dream BB Pacer continues....remembering how fortunate we are to have these cars as a hobby is truely a gift. I will get back to enjoying my other rides for the summer and who knows what may be found around the next corner. In the mean time enjoy a photo of my original straight-six on a ski trip to Whistler B.C. back 43 years ago. This is the original owners girlfriend in the pic. canada flag

Are those mirrors on the fenders of this 68 Camaro in the vintage picture? How strange! Never seen that before!

Yeah it had a trunk rack as well, but no trailer hitch so I'm not sure what the need for those mirrors was. I'll have to try and re-create this photo if it snows here this winter roll

Yeah, it's hard to know why these cars have some of these strange options on them. Maybe it was a owner installed item. Very few early Camaro's had Fiberoptics on the fenders and rear window, and all they were used for was to let the driver know the front blinkers and tail lights were working. Crazy!

The Following has been added to this cars sale listing :

Explanation of Authenticity: Please note this comments that are here presented are the actual facts that are known, at this writing, Fraser Dante and its associates does not know of an actual listing by VIN#s of the actual 1967 Pace Cars excepting a list that came with this car used at the Camaro Nationals, we have presented all the facts and numbers available to us, thusly there is no source to verify the fact that this is Festival Pace Car but noting that it is also stated that the date codes and ‘numbers’ all appear correct for such a car from all criteria, from the previous owner and the Camaro Nationals Judging noting all of this information appears original but this fact cannot be certified by Fraser Dante, our history of this car goes back to about the early ‘90s and knowledge before that is not known to us, we can only say what is here today and known to us and the fact that this has been judged twice, parts have been carefully examined today, due to the age of this vehicle, all statements are made to the best information available after careful examination but originality or genuineness of any parts of said vehicle cannot be authenticated, a top Corvette ‘numbers’ professional, Reggie Martin, has viewed the stampings and agrees with the Camaro Nationals that this is very correct,

Tires: show quality and factory correct D70-14 Firestone wide oval Red Line bias ply tires mounted on stamped “DG” 14x7 Rally wheels, these are correct, they have correct trim rings and disc brake center caps, a real investment vehicle,
Summary: it is believed that this is one of the finest 1967 Camaro Pace Car convertibles in the USA, the paint and body are simply beyond perfection, the mechanical condition of the 396 and 4-speed are also above what one would expect in such a wonderful show car, all the ‘numbers’ are absolutely correct,

This car from a restored, is it pretty, point of view is absolutely great. This car was not judged for originality but for appearance. If it were to be judged in a class requiring originality and correctness it has some serious hurdles to overcome. Also big difference between "correct" and "original" when it comes to stampings. Keep in mind that NCRS has accepted re-stamped blocks for years.

I really think this horse is dead.

On a lighter note, I love your blue car!
