Well I figured when I saw that first '67 pace car that is going on the block sitting behind those Corvette Le Mans race cars they were spending a bunch of air time on, that I'd probably not get to see it. Of course as soon as the Corvettes rolled off they went to commercial. They always seem to air the '69's though, like the two they showed last night. (HDTV). People just love those '69's. I pointed out to my wife while my car was sitting in line on the Museum basement drive getting ready to go out to pit road last Sat on opening day (Andy's car was sitting behind mine at the end of the drive). More than once people would walk over, go right past my car, and look and the '69 and then turn and walk away. Didn't look at the '67, '82, '93, etc., just thoroughly looked over Andy's 69 from stem to stern. Oh well I still like the '67 better! Wink

You have to sign up to Mecum's site to see it but the 0-1 Norwood L48/powerglide (I'm sure someone here knows the car) sold for $68,000. A C-1 Van Nuys L48 4-spd is scheduled to go tonight at 6:55PM.

Lawrance of the 23 0-1 cars on the Trust registry, four of them are listed as having the protecto-plate. Tom's #78 being one of them.

Mister Weaver.
I do have the Protecto plate for my L-78!!
I found it years later in the attic of my moms garage in a suitcase full of my sisters STUFF!!
Along with that I found an original Polaroid snapshot of the car when it was new sitting in thier driveway.
I keep the goods locked up in a safeguarded place. It seems that the protecto plate solves any questions and arguments. I love the (MQ) the most LOL Wink

POPs are not the norm, but they are out there. I have one on my car. I also had original pictures of my L48 when it was new. A few years back there was a guy on eBay making the p plates that were so good it was very difficult to tell that they were not original.
