Craig, maybe you could tell us about how you came to own it and any previous owner history. We all love to hear this stuff.

I don't know any history on the car. My dad and I got the car from my uncle (his brother), in 2000, who knew the car had been sitting in a barn for the last 20 years. My uncle passed in early 2001, so I was not able to gather much history on the car. I started gathering parts to restore the car. My job transfered me out of state and I did not have any place to keep the car. I got married, had 3 little girls, and just did not have the time to keep working on the car. We kept the car in my dad's shop, but just never made it back to finish the car. We decided to sell the car and let someone else finish the project. I sold the car to Fred at Redline Muscle Cars. It appears that Fred has sold it. I hope the person who got it from Fred keeps us posted on progress of the restoration. I hated to sell the car, but it needed to go to a home where someone would restore it like I was trying to do.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone in this group confirmed the stats that are in the ad (shown below)?

Way off... decade + old data. I think we have 192 Pacecars on the registry now

As Tom said the information on the 67 pacer has been gathered from many websites, old books, outdated copies of registries, heresay. I'd say we are getting close to having found 200 cars. I'm sure at some point the info listed in most for sale ads was true. We are seeing more cars appear over time that were unaccounted for. This car mentioned was registered but sat dormant (for all intent) for 30 years.
We make an effort to track all pacers and find owner history (I find the history as interesting sometimes as the finding of the car).

Just to show you how far those old lists are off, look how it lists 98 cars, yet only 19 with consoles.
