On E-Bay, 360421604638, this is GM no.3886690.!!!! Eeker I'm all out of Camaro coins so am unable to snag it up. Frowner Someone here should grab it. It needs re-chromed for show due to damp storage, but would be nice afterwards. Why are the deals around when I'm out of green stuff? If it were priced as a core,I'd grab it,but with a $400.00 buy-it-now price,I'm out of the game. Even at that it's probably a deal, due to the rarity. Hope someone can get it. Andy V

I just ran to the auction with my wallet out but you know what.. The back has crusty rust so no matter how hard you try you won't end up with a better bumper than just rechroming what you've got. The bumper would cost all of 400 to rechrome so thats bad math..

I hear what your saying though... Its tough to pass on the packaging and the sticker Roll Eyes

sharp eyes Andy! Wink

Tom,I have the later NOS version that I got years ago that I'd planned to use. (less than a hundred bucks from GM!)90% of folks would not notice. Still......Don't get rid of a nice one without lettin me know. All the used ones around here have been really pitted on the back side. That guy had some other 67 stuff, too.(but kinda up there on price.)

This is the second one I've seen. I bought the first one.. that was after I bought the 68 version, welded the holes up and had it rechromed...wasting money left and right this last decade or so hammer

Ever notice on the original and NOS units how the bolt brackets get the black out treatment?

Original 67 bumper that I have in storage. Look at the black out job, you can see the paint line across the bottom of the bumper too.

Thanks Phil, it looks like it was done after the bolt and washer were put on.

My NOS 67 one ( I pulled that blue covering off myself) doesn't have that? BUT: I definitely remember this existing on some bumpers of mine.. I also have an original I can look at soon... very cool resto specific Phil!

Whats the point of the black out?

Seems like a lot of work for what?

There were lots of specified " black out " functions for the car to look visually appealing.. things behind the grill.. things from behind the car like the fuel tank etc.. I bet if we had the spec sheets for manufacturing it would specify to black out the tabs.. although they bailed on it most time as rediculous or time consuming...
