This car went for sale at Mecum's Spring Classic. I saw it up close and personal, and saw most all of the documentation he's talking about. I also got to talk to him a bit about the car. He had a 150k reserve at that auction and the bid went to 115k. When I left the auction on Saturday evening, he had a 140k offer on the car, but was holding out for 150k. XXXXXX documentation certified just about ever part and number he lists (as I remember it). Mileage was documented as well. Car has an incredible repaint on it. It made the other 4-5 pace cars at the auction look bad. There was another L89 pacer there as well that sold for 75k. I didn't see it until we were leaving and didn't give it a thorough review, but as per the sale price it couldn't have been very nice. I did see right off the top some bad body putty work under the paint of that car. This car in the ebay auction was as nice of a pace car as I've ever seen restored. We were interested in it because our pace car is documented original mileage as well, but at 27,2xx or so. Not sure why you haven't heard from the guy unless he's not a tech guy and unable to scan docs. I've seen them in person.This message has been edited. Last edited by: Tom McGinnity,
Guys..without rock solid proof I feel its inappropriate to use peoples names when refering to a mistake or being " on the take " please refrain from that.. its exactly how brawls start..and I end up being Mr. Appolgies thank you
