Wow, THere is a lot of work to do here. If thats an original 396. it must be a 325 or 350 hp model.As the intake has oval ports. And I wonder about the black interior instead of the orange. A project like this takes a lot of ambition. I think I would dip the frame ( or body ) after it was stripped to the bone. A lot of rust there.
