Would someone please go to the gift shop in the Hall of Fame Museum with an AVO or PO from the track and get those cars some plate frames that say Indianapolis Motor Speedway or something like that. They would keep the plates nice for us future owners! ![]()

I went up for pole Day as well and checked out the Camaros in the flag lot. Was amazed to see how may had damage to them. Like mentioned above, a number had door dings and numerous ones had chunks out of the striping on the nose or tail...perhaps car wash damage. Nancy George's car #3 parked behind the Pagoda was a filthy mess. Looked like she had it out the night before 4-wheeling or something. Either that or she lives back a long dirt road. Maybe she didn't want to damage the stripes by spending 5 bucks to run it through a car wash on Pole Day morning! I know festival cars are special, but some are just like abused children and will need lots of attention from their new owners to get them over their traumatized early days! I know that more than one of last years cars had to spend a little time in the body shop before they were sold to the public. I talked to one guy who was issued one of this years car. He told me he was a cardiologist there in Indy. He said his ran like a scalded dog and he loved to stand on it! Nice for a new car break in period! I think it was car #31 if I remember correctly. indyzdanny

Sooo true. Nobody looks after your stuff like you do. If one get it for nothing(virtually) then that's how much you value it. If I was truley interested in one of these, I would want to pick it(them) out and follow it around like I already owned it.
