Finally at home - but just for the weekend - the guys at the shop wanted me to drive it this weekend and find anything I wasn't happy with or needed fixed / adjusted. It will be a fun weekend, then back to the shop Tuesday.

The pace is picking up (pun not intended) but the shop has had the car for a year and a half - so overall I wouldn't say too fast!

Saying it runs strong would be an understatement - It runs like a striped ars ape! Starts with a touch of the key, idles well, and drives very nicely. There's some bugs they need to work out - all minor details but they will have it back next week to finish it.

Looking at your rear pin stripping. I see some cars that are painted to the end of the trunk, and others like yours. So which is the right way to do the rear? Nice looking car by the way.

The one you see in the picture. The stripe ends under the spoiler.

The car looks great. The only thing I saw wrong, and it is no big deal is the pin strip on the door shouldn't be there. They stop on the fender. I hope when mine gets painted. It looks as good as your. Hats off to your body shop.Have fun with your ride.

I would strongly disagree that the stripe does go into the door, as the way the cars were delivered from the factory. From what I have seen most, but not all had the stripes removed when the Pace Car decals were applied. BKH

Wow.. somebody has been putting the hours into finishing their car!

NICE

So if the decals go on...the stripe thats on the door comes off...right?

Tom, that's the way I have always understood it - they came with the stripe on the door from the factory, and it's removed when/if the door stickers were installed.

Thanks for the compliments guys, having a blast driving it around again! The wife doesn't like that everyone is always staring at it though and that it messes up her hair! Big Grin

Like my plates?

The car looks great Steve. The background in the picture looks like the photo was taken in City Park in Iowa City.

Good guess Peter, you must be pretty familiar with Iowa City to have picked that out! Guessing you spent some time here? The cruise nights start at the end of April, hope we have good weather for the first ones, I'm ready to go. Smiler

I've been to a ballgame or two there. I live just 90 miles south of Iowa City in Keokuk. Big Grin

We drive past Keokuk on the way to St Louis a few times a year. Here's a picture of the trunk, took me about 8 hours to cut around the cocktail shakers to get it to match a couple pictures of a survior Pace Car's mat. Phone camera picture so not great.
