I'm looking at a 1969 Z11 pace car with the original 350 motor rebuilt at 60 over complete missing the exhaust manifolds and correct carburetor, has original 350 turbo tranny out of the car with a turbo in it rebuilt, all original body panels and repainted about 15 years ago. The car is nicely optioned with factory a/c that works, tilt wheel, gauge package and am/fm radio. The cowl induction works on the car as well. I believe their is some other small options but can't remember. This car looks to have the original top on it as well in excellent condition and has 104,000 miles on it. I know this guy personally and he used to be a bodyman and purchased the car because of the original body panels and floors. This car is in very nice condition overall and drives nice as well. I did notice it has 15 inch wheels on it and I don't believe they came with those originally. It also has the original 12 bolt 3:42 posi rear end. Can somebody tell me what the fair market value on this car would be?

Dennis, At this point in time, it’s what ever a buyer is willing to give. I just spoke with an individual this past weekend that purchased a one owner Z11 that is a 75K original ml car with air, pwr top, auto no rust for 35K from Nebraska. The car was pretty decent and best of all; it is an original paint car. The market is really at major disarray with all the uncertainty in today’s economy. Good luck and with your decision and if you do end up purchasing the car, please post pics and allot of info. Tom

Seems like anything I look at is not on the fire sale. That car in Nebraska sounds like a buy.

I agree that the 35K pace cars are few and far between. I wouldn't expect much for that price either and should forget about an original drive train and documentation. I would figure you will need to spend at least 40 -45K for a nice pace car. Good luck with your search though and inspect the hell out of anything you buy.
