How about a new post to check and see where everyone is at with their car lately? I have not worked on mine in almost two years....until today that is. I hung the front clip tonight to see where the gaps are, so that I can hang the quarters.

2 years!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow how time flys Gary. Seems like just yesterday we were all tuning in daily to read your updates. And now that you mention it, haven't heard progress reports from a number of guys. Maybe this will wake them all up and they will chime in. Wink

Please don't get me going Roll Eyes I'm frothing at the mouth to get back to my C-1.. I have no running Camaro right now and feel like I'm missing a limb.. I've had a real good summer doing family stuff but its time to get to work! Big Grin I'm gonna fight hard to have my C-1 at Carlisle in 09.. To boost my spirits from the selling of my pro-tour car I had my red neon sign recharged with Argon gas & Mercury... Yes boys that makes Pace Car Blue neon light Big Grin

That should motivate me to get in the garage Big Grin

I have noticed that when someone starts to post their restoration work on the website it usually got many of us inspired to work on our own cars. When Phil showed us pictures of his engine many of us were aching to get back to work right away. I think this kind of thread would be a good motivational tool for alot of us! Big Grin As well as, see techniques that members use to restore their cars. Great idea Gary!

I agree, this is a great idea! i love seeing progression pictures of restorations. Maybe one of these days I'll have a pace car of my own to show, hopefully.

I started a new job in November of '06 and prior to that had been starving in my old job. For one year before that I had been working on the car like crazy. My focus changed and I just concentrated on the job. Then this past year I decided I needed to do some things on the house that had been neglected. New work area in basement, workbench, pegboard, etc. New bathroom in basement (notice the motif). Gardens work, etc.

There is a method to my madness. If I take care of the Honey-dos, then I can disappear into the garage for the winter.
