Hi Everyone,
I have a question, does anyone here know anybody who can cast pot metal for emblems like dealership emblems? I have a dealership emblem from "Don Allen" on the trunk lid of my 67 Camaro that is pitted and broken that I would love to replace, but I can not find a replacement for it. The next best thing I can think of is see if I can find someone to cast another one using my old broken one. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

Would any of you put a dealer emblem back on your Pace Car if it came with it?

Was it way up on the lid like in the picture? Yikes! I dont think I would replace it.You mite find some model builder that may cast you one in resin, that would make one for the mold.Dont know anybody casting potmetal.

I am not sure why it was way up there! You would have thought it would have been lower. That is the way it was when I got it. I guess dealerships just slap them on there any place they want. Don't some put their emblems on the tail panel, left side of the gas cap? Or were they all on the trunk lid? This is a subject I have no clue about.

I would have put it on the tail panel but dealers are strange sometimes.Used to put these on at a dealer, the manager had me take off the tabs and double face tape them on.He told me dont let the owner see you do that though, he wanted holes drilled and it bolted on,the owner would not remove becuase of holes was his logic!

Contact Andy Wolf.. He knows a thing or two about dealer emblems.. You might be able to have a CAD guy draw one up off the existing measurements and have it plastic cast then plastic chromed or something whacky like that.. I had thought to do that if ever I found a Bill Kuhn one but Andy figured out they were using decals in 67 so I'm off the hook

It might be way up on the lid if this emblem uses studs to fasten? whats the underside look like.. The lip is a bitch to get nuts to fit flush on

Never mind.. I now see they used two screws but same reason.. so the screws go through just one layer of sheet metal not a double.. Might be why the corner rusted out

I know the pic is small but its the only one I've got.. The " by " in By Berger looks to be the same " by " as yours.. I wonder if this company might still be around who produced these original emblems? stranger things have happened... Maybe they kept all their old molds? again stranger things have happened.. confused

Hi Phil, I contacted Jeff in that Chevelle thread because he also needed a "Don Allen" emblem and in hopes that he might know someone with an extra or could point me in the right direction to have one made. That post was 5 years old so I wasn't sure where it might end up. He does have a good Don Allen emblem he found on eBay. I think it is just a matter of finding the right person at the right time.

So these emblems could be put on just about anywhere on the trunk lid or maybe even on the tail panel then? Cool!
