Oh confused I was kinda curious what happened to John and Kurt on this thread? I know why Mark would post that on their site as its a great discussion and he doesn't roll over here BUT? He should at least read our thread and see that I explained the eBay discription was a casual seller-owners formulated opinion that has since changed and that is OK.. I remember doing 300 foot long burnouts in front of my High School back in 1983 but the pictures show about 10 feet of rubber actually on the road Roll Eyes Thats what happens over time boys.. stories morph for the better.. We were just lucky enough this time to find a car with a crazy anomoly and the owner was man enough to not only clearify the story but to allow a personal visit by Duane.. The car was bought off the lot at Smedleys...just the way you see it right now.. The tags legit and the rivets are too or I'm a monkeys uncle.. Even admitting that there are other discrepencies in the 03C build tells me they had a tough week at Fisher.. I wasn't there of course and neither was anyone else around here... I'm sticking with what my eyes can see..

and by the way.. anyone who lives near this guy can see it too.. Maybe another website would like to take a field trip? racer

Tom,

Great news...despite not providing an answer to the original thread here or the original follow up thread made over on the CRG by Mark C on this very issue- Kurt has apperently fully digested all the evidence on the Red Vert and reached a conclusion which he decided to post in the missing 4P thread over at yenko.net.

I am pleased to finally have a reply from Kurt on this issue since -now months later- and after Duanes detailed inspections of the red Vert including rust behind the Trim Tag-we all know the truth--it is a fake after all- and nobody here knows a hoot about this stuff.. I am going to my corner now and putting my official DUNCE hat on. Big Grin

To all my friends...

A story by Hans Christian Andersen. An emperor hires two tailors who promise to make him a set of remarkable new clothes that will be invisible to anyone who is either incompetent or stupid. When the emperor goes to see his new clothes, he sees nothing at all — for the tailors are swindlers and there aren't any clothes. Afraid of being judged incompetent or stupid, the emperor pretends to be delighted with the new clothes and “wears” them in a grand parade through the town. Everyone else also pretends to see them, until a child yells out, “He hasn't got any clothes on!”

People who point out the emptiness of the pretensions of powerful people and institutions are often compared to the child who says that the emperor has no clothes.

as luck would have it.. this car is available for all to see in person.. We sent a rep.

Before the car is dismissed I think it only fair the dismissor go have a look see for himself...but he may see nothing at all Wink
