I recently picked up an 'Indianapolis 500 - 1993 Official Truck - Suburban Die Cast Replica' 1:24 scale Were there any of these Suburbans actually produced?
Also, were there any of the '93 Indy Pickups made in a diecast model?

Not that I'm aware of. Now that doesn't mean that there wasn't any at the track in some capacity. Ditto for the pick-up.

I am trying to buy a 4x4 from the orginal owner with 138,000 miles. (It has a bench seat unlike my model.) I have looked into this and learned they had 4 of them. It was the S 10 Blazer that had the black and white paint job like the trucks.

Here's a photo I took on 12-10-08 of this vehicle. I ran into the owner on my lunch break. Unfortunately he's not ready to sell it yet...How cool would it be to have this to tow my 93 Pace Car to the F-Body Nationals in May...

This is another photo I took in 93. It looks to be a 2x4 from the 5 lug wheels.

Am in the process of restoring my 93 pace truck. I've found the main door graphics and have purchased....
BUT, the original "gold" wing and flag decals that go behind the doors on the quarters as well as the original "silver" 500 logos that go just in front of the doors on the fenders are proving to be rather elusive to find.

Any insight or info. appreciated. Thanks!

This could go under whatever happened to? Just passed this on my lunch hour today in service with a painting crew.

The owner was nice. He did not know much about the history. He bought it from a Landscape crew. Apx 160K

Forgot to say, if you go to the upstairs photo room and look at the old books you will see lots of photos of an Astro Window van on the track.

Here are a few more "variations" to comlpete the set. Big Grin:

Wait until you see the City Bus and bobsled I sent in to the main archive page... Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin
