Here is another 97 Festival Car for sale. It looks to be in better shape, although the top is black instead of white. This car was sold a week or so ago by the same seller and is now being relisted with no explanation of why.

The car you post about was also listed on craigslist awhile back for $7700 and stated it had an intake manifold leak.

The black top does give it a different look, but I definately would go with the white top if I were to purchase one myself!

I still don't understand why these sellers change the exhaust tips on these rare pace cars? confused The stock oval tips look SO MUCH BETTER in my opinion!!!! Cheers

Hi all
Hopefully someone can help me, I'm supposed to go look at the car mentioned in the fist post of this thread today.
Realistically what's worth?
Thanks
Jim

Putting a value on a car is really a subjective judgement. Everyone seems to have different opinions. I always try and look for the cosmetic and mechanical conditions, then check those facts against what the book value for a car like it would be. This should give a person a point to start with. If there are things that you know are going to need attention, I try to estimate how much it will cost to correct them. Unless the car is something you are going to keep forever, most people don't want to invest more than they could ever expect to sell it for later on. Just because the car was used at the Brickyard doesn't add much extra value to most people. It may down the road, but who knows.

Good luck with this one. Having purchased a one owner, well cared for, well documented, 100,000 mile car recently I can tell you to be prepared to spend a good buck on it mechanically.
