When I got my engine together I found I had a weak spark. I ordered a coil from Classic and found the new coil was to big and I couldn't get my air cleaner the go down on the carb. I measured the new coil and found it was more then 1/2"or 5/8" taller then the original coil. I went to CarQuest and Advance Auto and the coils they had were to tall also. The body of the original coil measures a little over 4" tall and the newer coil bodys are over 4 5/8" tall. Has anyone ran in to this problem on their stock 350 and could you give me a part number of a coil that will work?
Check your assembly manual UPC 6. I believe the correct coil might be a 267, if memory serves me right. It will depend what month your car is. There are 3 67 coils: 204, 242 and 267

John Sr. died about 2 months ago. His son is running the business by himself now. I just bought a starter from him. Its still the same great quality. EDV.
