In THEORY this might also mean that a dealer order outside of the central office ordered fleet coded pace car program could have ordered a car with a blue nose stripe and it would not have a dash on the cowl tag.

Pat,

Are you saying this based off of Steve's Cowl tag? Confused

I'm saying that the dash might only be associated with a central office order/fleet order and had nothing to do with any special production change. We know a few other dash cars were built and have no special build features. However, they might have had special circumstances that required a central office order.

100% True!

We have dash coded cars that have standard paint and what seems to be all standard options...at least after 40 years!
If the car's were ordered for MotorRamma Shows or other show duties or display duties... I believe it's very likely that there would be a code and dash!

Micheal,
Really nice, can you read the print better on your end? If so, could you attach this for me to an email? Thanks. Steve

Rick before you jump up and down with glee remember that it still will require some type of documentation to support this THEORY. A vintage photo or dealer documents will go a long way as proof that dealer ordered replica replica's are out there Still not part of the "official" central office order but a significant part of first year camaro history non the less.

Pat,

No jumping with glee yet.... Wink

I'm really just trying to find out if these dealership replicas and replica-replicas existed. From earlier posts made yesterday and today it appears you might have been able to run down to your local chevrolet dealership and order up something real close to a pacer, BUT, we still don't know what color nose stripe would be available on the non "-" cars and if stickers would have been available or on the doors on these cars? I'm sure more digging will answer these questions and thats what I plan to do with everyone's continued help.... Thanks!!!

Just look what's come up in a week or so! Vintage GM and Indy 500 pacer pamphlets... Very cool!

So, were these cars black nose or could some have been blue nosers????

Over the last several months (Ebay and other) we have seen a few blue nose cars (base and RS types) that sure look original that weren't "-" cars...

Sorry guys I cant read it either. If I remember right The brochure was comparing pacesetter options on the Camaro than what Mustang had to offer. I guess I should have hocked the kids in to win the auction.

Micheal W.

Do you have a photo of the flip side of this brochere? It would make looking for it a little easier. I'm going to look around for one of these. Thanks for posting this.
