Got a flier in the mail from Danbury Mint yesterday. Now they have a '67 Pace Car in 1/24th scale. Had nothing to do with this one. Wink
I judge from the #92 on the rearview mirror and the grab handle on the windshield header they must of used Charley's old car.

It does have removable yellow flags and correct steering wheel.

Looks to have correct Firestone redline placement and air cleaner decal as well.

Mike, from your comments I take it Charley sold #92. Is this true?

If anyone sees this one go on sale please post it here.

Mike

Hi Mike,

Yes, the car now resides on the east coast and will be attending GM Nationals @ Carlisle this month.

WOW...

Steve,

When did Charlie sell the car and how much??? We own the #3 festival car and in my current state of mind, the car will never be for sale unless Lary C. in CO wants to do some dealing on his real deal 69 Pace.

Word on the street is #92 was involved in some old fashioned horse tradin'.

This means Charlie picked up something very special with ultra low miles.

Charlie traded the car months ago to a nice fellow who seems to be putting together a world class collection of survivor Camaros.. Its in good hands.

Hard to put a price on it because of trading..

Tony Lucas... Very nice man and will make the car available etc when we need info about resto specifics etc. If it had to be sold I'm glad where it landed Big Grin

So that is why it's going to be in the Solid Lifter Showroom @ Carlisle this year.( A lot of his Camaros have been displayed there.) His Camaro collection is truly incredible. The November 2009 issue of Musclecar Review said he had 16 1969 Camaros. Since then he has added a 68 Dana , now #92, (and maybe a few in between). It definitely went to a good home.

Tom, I wonder if a person could ask for the number they want? Or order it and wait?

I wouldn't think so as I think vendors pre order,... you'd need a buddie on the inside I bet
