I was lucky enough to be tipped off (by a pace car member) about a 396 Convertible Camaro that was a possible unknown pace car for sale in Iowa..

I called and went and met the owner & wife who were awesome folks..

They have owned the camaro for 34 years. He bought the camaro in 1977 when he was 17..

The camaro spent several years right here in Waterloo as he was a student at Hawkeye Community college.

The story and history is long so I will stop for now but here is a picture as she is now.

I even have previous owners name from 1977 and some of his history..

The Camaro had FRAME OFF FULL NUT & BOLT RESTORE...NOT A SPECK OF RUST ANYWHERE....

Jeb has the nose stripe painted and is working on the trunk. Since the trunk had the spoiler on it we decided to get a new trunk lid so we didn have to fill the hole and repair it.

Jebs custom classic's rocks.

Thanks Jeb she looks awesome.

Jeb repainted nose stripe, steering wheel was freshened, new trunk lid to replace the one with spoiler and Jeb matched colors as perfect to other paint as I could have hoped.

My driver LOS PACER 396 ROCKS !!

Took the new Pacer to its 1st car show this weekend.

Lots of cars.

I parked way away from everyone else. Not sure if thats normal but I'm to afraid to park it in where the crowd is. To many kids & strollers.

Hopefully I get over that fear sometime...

Cool

Sweet! Which car show did you go to? I was thinking about heading out to one but it rained all day Saturday here, so it stayed in the garage.
