I ran a local ad looking for 67 seats.

Got a call from a guy who said he had a box of camaro parts off a 67 Camaro convertible.

I told him I'm restoring a 67 Pace car. He said the parts were bought for a possible pace car. He said it has blue interior and he believes it to be white. He said the car gets drove once maybe twice a year at best. Its been stored with top down.

He goes on to say the car is no rust bucket it just deserves to be restored. Says they cant prove its a pace car because decals are long gone.

I offered to come look at it and give them my opinion. He is contacting his friend to set something up.

I'm for sure going to look at the box of parts on Saturday and I'm hoping to catch a look at the car.

STAY TUNED !!

GOTTA BE TO GOOD TO BE TRUE ???

I just got done meeting the owner. He bought the car in 1972 for $200.00..

He said he was told years ago by a camaro shop in Chicago it was not a pacer because it didnt have black seats. But he was confident it was a pace car.

It appears to have all original interior. Seats and dash look really darn good..

Car had a repaint years ago.

Original motor is long gone but has original tranny and rear end.

He still drives it om occassion..

What a jewel...

Just sitting in an old Iowa barn collecting dust...

THIS IS AWESOME...

ONLY A FEW MILES FROM WATERLOO......

309 AM and I'm still thinking about how lucky I am at getting to see an 0-1 pace car today..

I have got to wonder what the chances of coming across and buying 2-LA BB pace cars and then coming across an 0-1 pace car all within 2 years. All three cars being in the area of Waterloo,Iowa. Not that big of town 68,000 people or so.

Something amazing going on here.

Pace Car Gods are speaking !! confused

Sappy - sounds like your the pace car magnet.

It shows there are still many more out there waiting to be found.

Is the owner able to join in with us all here?

I was hoping to snap some pictures of it sitting in the barn. But he was nice enough to move it out before I got there.

He offered again to let me take it for a spin. He also said I know where the keys are if I ever want to drive.

The guy is awesome !!
