I've been doing some research on parts for restoring an '82 and have a question about stripe kits. Looks like Phoenix Graphics and Stencils and Stripes Unlimited both have them. I have two questions:

1. Does anyone have any experience with either of these kits and whether or not one is more factory accurate than the other?

2. On the Stencils and Stripes site, the '82 stripe kit has the following comment: "Colors based on 1st run production decals for accuracy, not later production runs."

What does that mean? It sounds as though GM changes the stripe colors somewhere in the production run? I want to make sure I get a factory-correct kit, not something that is "close" to that.

Any opinions?

I have a used the set from Stencil and stripes. the seemed fine to me at the time.
