I just purchased a 1998 Camaro SS Convertible...

The car is white with white leather, was sold new at Bill Estes Chevrolet in INDY, and equipped with the base SLP options... I believe it is a brickyard car, but there are no decals, and no documentation... How do I go about documenting the car, getting decals, or finding out what number it would have been... Any info would be great!!! Thanks in advance!!!

Also, I would like to buy some memerobilia for the car... Where do I buy it at? Poster, T-Shirt, Etc...

THANKS, TJ Baker

Contact Graphix Concepts, they did the decals. I don't have the phone number in front of me here. Someone here will post it. They'll know if it was a Festival car and the number.

Welcome to the site TJ. There are several ways an owner can verify if his 98 Camaro SS was used as a Festival Car. As Bill has suggested, calling Graphik Concepts would be probably be the fastest way to confirm it. Their phone number is 800-472-8990. You can also find this out by using order number of the car on the vehicle build information you can get from your local dealer or from a copy of the cars invoice. If you send me your email, I'll send a copy of an article written about the 98 Brickyards. It explains how to determine the car number by the order number.

Your VIN is definitely in the range of the Festival Cars. According to this website, it was built on the same day as my 98 and it has the same options also.

Post some pictures of your car when you get a chance.

The last time I asked was back in 2003 and they weren't available at that time. I doubt that they have been reproduced since then because the company that made them required a minimum order of 150 sets. With such a small number of people interested in an item like this, it would cost more than most would be willing to invest.

I'm going to try and contact them today...

Anyone have any track day stuff they want to sell?

What ever happened with the license plates used at the track?

I would love to find one!

I am having trouble getting my order number... I have got the Vehicle Build Sheet from my local gm dealer, it however came up with no results... My dealer rep says he has never seen this... I have called Graphiks, they are very nice, but have told me that they have to look through old files and get back with me... Can anyone help me find my order number?

Thanks, TJ Baker

TJ, the order number can be found a couple of other places. It is listed on the window sticker at the bottom, just to the right of the VIN. If you don't have the window sticker, you should be able to purchase a copy of the invoice here and you should be able to get the order number from it. A copy of the invoice will also give the information needed to reproduce the window sticker if you don't have it. Here's a link where you can do that.

The special event plates and other memorabilia from 1998 come up for sale on Ebay occasionally. That may be the best place for you to start looking.

Welcome to the site! It's no secret that Peter and I love the 98 brickyard SS. The vin looks in the range to me. I do not have all of the 1998 vins but I can eliminate some of them for you. I would guess it is one of the first 30 cars. eBay is your best bet for the items now. Unless Peter is bidding against you they are still cheap.
