Lee's right, Mike Rhudy was at the race in 2000 and bought three of the 2000 Festival Cars. He has said that the Pole Setter, Ricky Rudd was in Car #9, so I'd be willing to bet he knows who was in the other cars he bought. In case you may not know, there were two drivers assigned to a car, (except for the Pole Setter) so not all cars carried a Nascar driver in the introductions. If you are able to find out, let me know who it is. I may have a picture of them that I found on Ebay.

I believe he bought Car's #9, #10 and #11 in 2000, Greg. I think he still owns Car #9. Here's a link to the page on his site that shows a picture of the three of them.

I remember seeing Scott Settlemire drive a 2000 Brickyard 400 Festival Car to Berger Chevrolet for a show once and ever since I saw the 2000 Brickyard 400 Camaro SS I wanted one for myself.

Hey Folks,
I'm the new owner of car #10, and thanks to you guys and your postings, that helped make my decision to purchase the car! It's currently in the garage, and I'm going through it step by step, cleaning and detailing. Hey Mike Rhudy, do you remember who was in the car for the parade lap around Indy? That would be fun to obtain an autograph! I'm looking forward to learning about the history, and showing this beauty off at the local shows and cruises. It's in good hands! haha

Just got car #10

Congratulations on the purchase and welcome to the site. From the registery several of the members here try to keep, we have found 16 cars from the 2000 Brickyard 400 that still have their graphics installed. It's possible a few of these cars could be duplicates because we have not been able to indentify all of them by VINs, so the actual number may be slightly less. I was recently told by Howard Kirchenbauer that 52 white SS convertibles were ordered in 2000, so the 16 cars found is a relatively small percentage of the original number. Many of the cars stripped of their graphics are still out there, but without the graphics or knowing the VIN, they go unrecognized. Enjoy the car and if you have any questions, don't be bashful about asking. You never know, someone here may have the answer.

Thank you very much! Looking forward to it. I can see why some of the graphics have been removed over time>>>it must be expensive to duplicate.

As late as last summer, the original supplier still had graphics for the 2000 available. Some of the less complicated graphics like the bow tie for the hood, the windshield banner and the Chevrolet graphic on the bottom of the doors, I believe can be produced on request. The stripe is a different story. If you take a close look at them, you notice all the different colored shapes are individual vinyl covered with a clear material forming the stripe. I don't think many shops would be able to duplicate this decal. I was told that 1998 stripes could be reproduced, but they required a minimum order of 150 sets and the cost would be far beyond what most people could afford to spend. This is probably going to be the case when supply of 2000 stripes are gone.

Any idea what the prices are for those graphics you mentioned? So far, mine are holding out, but if the price is right, that would be good to have spares...
