Is there any way to get the list from the 2000 Brickyard race? I'm still trolling around to find out who was in #10. Thanks!

The only list of driver assignments that I know exists, is for 2002 race. It was published in an Camaro World article about the Z7D's. This past year, I had Howard Kirchenbauer write a letter of authenticity for my 2000 Brickyard and he made no mention about drivers assigned to the car. I've tried to purchase the lists of the driver assignments from him, but was unable to do so. I really feel if he had that information, he would have sold it to me. So I'm at the point where I am beginning to think this type of information was not kept track of back in 2000 and before. In case you don't know, Howard was the person who was in charge of all the track support vehicles used at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for years. If he doesn't know, I'm not sure who would!

Here is what I've been able to determine from pictures so far. The chart below shows the starting positions of the drivers in 2000 and the drivers with a line between them were in a car together.

The only car number I've been able to find is Car #9 and that comes from the owner who was at the track that year working with Howard in the infield. The picture of Ricky Rudd tends to confirm this because the car he was riding in has a large bowtie and so does car #9. Most of the cars used that year had the small bowties, so that limits the possibilities. Sorry that I can't tell you what you want know, but as it stands right now, I'm not sure anyone knows.

Another piece of the puzzle for 'PeterPar', This was from the Y2K Brickyard for sale on Ebay currently (#12)...

"Q: How does one confirm this is "car #12"? Apr-29-12
A: I have documentation from Chevrolet. "#12 driven by Dr Henry Bock CHEVROLET Order was CFGDKN. We orderedm53 identically equipped Camaro SS convertiblesfor the Brickyard 400... the only diffrences being that 4 units had Northeast emissions, 3 had California Emissions...and the rest had Federal Emissions. Your particular car was built March 10, 2000 at ouur Ste Therese Quebec.........."
