I would like to find out which number this car was. Can you tell by the VIN? Who would the driver have been? How many were made that year? How do we go about finding supporting documentation on it? This is a Festival Car. Any information would be great. We love this car! Please call or email me!

Welcome to the site Dave. From your location, the car your asking about must the one for sale in San Antonio. If that is correct, then the application for Civic Event Plate that is shown in the ad will give you the track number of the car because it will be the same as the plate number. Determining which driver was assigned to a particular car may not be possible. The pictures I've found from early Brickyard races show the drivers were paired in the Festival Cars, so not all of the vehicles were used for the NASCAR drivers. To be honest, I'm not sure records of this type of information were kept until 2002 with the Z7D's.

Something you might be interested in knowing is that these cars were also used as Festival Cars for the Indy 500 that year, then redecaled for use at the Brickyard 400. Lee should know more about this, so I'm sure he'll reply when he sees this post.

Actually this car is not for sale...at least not yet. I believe the car in San Antonio has already been sold. I would like to find out more about it before I decide to sell it or not. It's lots of fun to drive with the LT1 Corvette engine in it. I hope to hear from Lee. We ae trying to research the car for documentation's sake and our curiosity. I was able to verify that the car was at the Brickyard 400 race in 1995 from Marilyn at Graphik Concepts. She verified the car by the VIN # which is as follows:

2G1FP32P8S2164043

Thanks,
Dave

Nice pictures Lee. I haven't seen to many of the 1995 Festival Cars before. The 1995 owners should be thrilled to a get a look at these.

What number car is Jim's car, anybody know?

Tried to upload a pic. Too big. Please email for a picture... dskasik@satx.rr.com

Brandon Brown said Lee93 might be able to help us find out more info on this car. Any idea how many are still out there? How rare? We think it is all original with 97000 highway miles. Thanks for any help...
